Well. I have left a comment for Tim on his blog that I need some house advice. I might as well put it on here so he knows what he might be getting himself into before he decides to talk to me. =) Which, by the way, I think I sent him the same comment about 5 times. Good one, huh? I know. So, here are the issues on my house.
1. From the looks of things, the floor is unlevel. The cabinets are pulled away from the wall and connected with what would be like a spacer (it was like that when we moved in.) We laid the peel and stick tiles on the floor in the kitchen but they have not stayed - so move apart. Is this because we did it wrong, or the floor...not really sure. Then, this week I noticed a place where we had painted about a year ago has cracked....above the sink below the window. So this concerns me.
2. The bathroom. The caulk in the tub was going bad, so over the summer Landon resealed it. But that was about 3-4 months ago and the caulk has already cracked between the tub and the wall. It would see that water has gotten behind the shower wall and might have problems. Mom says it is a foundation problem....very well could be. No idea.
3. Electrical - Kind of confused about this whole situation. The guy next door (who may be an electrican or not...he knows something) said there were problems but not immediate danger. Not really sure what he was talking about as he was talking to Landon and Tony, not me.
4. We had a pipe freeze and crack last winter - which was temporarily fixed with a clamp. The shut off valve is broken (the handle broke) and the pipe is in the garage but not insulated well. Not sure if we should move it into the crawl space or just fix the cracked pipe by replacing it and the valve and insulating the pipe better than it was the first time.
So those are the house problems we are having. I'm not sure if they are connected to one another or which is the most important to fix. Anyone have any ideas? My hope is that Tim could come over and take a look and then tell me nothing is wrong and it's no big deal at all. Okay? Great. My overall plan is to fix these major things and then get the house looking better - but I don't want to put in countertop and then have to redo it because of floor issues and things like that. Any advice is appreciated. =)

Well..the mystery is solved
the pants were the wrong pants. They were the ones that I decided were too small back in January and bought new ones. Now I can't seem to find the new ones at this moment - but I know I did not try them on. This explains not being able to wear them...seeing as they are about a size 4.
This means I had pizza hut for dinner. =)
Also, I am making a crock pot dinner tonight. It's already cooking....Chicken, cream of chicken and cheddar cheese soup...we'll see how it turns out. I just have to put some rice in my rice cooker when I get home. I'm thinking of reorganizing my kitchen. I need a place to put my rice cooker and crock pot where I can get to them easily....I'll figure that out tonight.
Last night I finished the laundry and put my books away. The house is slowly being put back together in a sensible manner. I think my goal of being organized by New Years is on track - I might even bump it up. I am thinking of having some friends over to have a Christmas party once Landon and I decorate the house and get everything ready. Amanda mentioned having a cookie decorating party - which would be very very fun! So...we'll see how that turns out. I'm getting excited for Christmas - Landon wants to put up lights...maybe this Sunday. Hmmm. We'll see.
Tomorrow Landon and I are supposed to go with Jan and Dean to St. Louis for a hockey game and come back on Saturday. At least I think that is the plan. Last I heard we are going - so that's a good thing. Sunday afternoon we are going to have family Thanksgiving at mom's. I'm looking forward to it, but I really can't believe it's already here! After next week Landon and I are going to get our Christmas tree!!! I better hurry on getting those presents! =)
Landon and I both LOVE christmas. I really just love the entire time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just love the decorations and the music and the family get togethers...all of it. It is just so nice to be with friends and family so much during this time of the year!

Leaving Early!
Today I am leaving early. I have been sitting doing close to nothing for about 2 hours and am leaving early....by 30 minutes. And I didn't take lunch today (3rd day this week) so I'm good to go.
Tonight Amanda and I are doing something/hanging out. I forgot to put up pictures yesterday...Mom came over and we went shopping (Dollar General in Chesterfield) and then cleaned up the house and had dinner. By the time everything was done, I put the rest of the close in to dry and went to sleep. I have been SO tired this week....just very very tired. But - I'm taking off Friday so....tomorrow is like my Friday!!! =) I'm looking forward to this 3 day weekend!
Landon and I have been getting together the Christmas decorations and I've been making a list (at mom's request!)
Only bad thing was I put on my black dress pants this morning and they hardly fit! I was shocked and not expecting it at all!!! I kind of wonder if they were on wrong or it was the wrong pair of pants or something....plus it was dark and I thought I was putting on my brown ones - which are a different size and was not expecting the black pants....who knows! Anyway, I was very frustrated but decided I should just chill and drink more water. So today I had 2 bananas, 2 bottles of water, 1 can of dt coke and 1 Qdoba burrito with rice and steak. Maybe then I won't be so tired all the time too....good things!
In other news....The issue is changing and hopefully working towards being finished. We all look forward to that day!

Goal of being organized.
By the end of the year, I will be organized and nicely moved into our house. Instead of the "throw it over there" cleaning that has been going on. I still have boxes in the spare room that have things from my desk at TU...haven't touched them. I can't even get to my winter clothes in the closet because of all the junk in there. It is kind of like our big spare room at home....lots of necessary things with small paths. I think I need to change the name so it doesn't stay that way forever! =) (Mom, no one thinks you are awful for having the basement full of stuff...that is not what I mean...stop thinking it!)
Quick insert - Fiest is on the radio right now! of course I'm dancing at my desk thinking of Arya. =-)
So...back to my goal. Last night I started with the living room. There are not a lot of ways to move the furniture in the room - but I did. It forced me to get the corner that was gathering junk emptied and find a nice place for my big plant. I'm not sure how much I really like it - but it will work for now...especially since now we do have room for a Christmas tree - which is a MUST - and before we did not have room. Also since moving the furniture I was able to display our first Christmas decorations we bought in Chicago.
I have discovered I like to have a timeline to force me to keep working and get something done. This was for last night
4:30 - leave work for Walmart across 69 on 96th St to get oil change
5:30-6ish - Car should be done...be finished buying things (mostly things for presents!!)
6:30 - home, put lasagna in, start laundry, fold and put away laundry while waiting for dinner
7:00 - Lasagna (Landon and I learned we both really like the frozen lasagna because they last forever and are REALLY easy)
7:30 - move the furniture - and I had certain things I wanted to move, small shelf, coat rack, DVDs, etc
This is how it went
4:25 - left work
6:10 - car was finished
6:50 - home....drive took FOREVER because of being dark and rainy
7:00 - got the lasagna in and started laundry. Landon got home about then and we realized the Lasagna was going to take about an hour and a half to get done! But, I got the laundry started, folded, and put away....even cleaned the sink and did dishes.....CLEAN!
A hockey game was on at 7:30 so we moved the big chair first and I worked on getting everything else fixed up. Long story short...we got it all done in the order I had thought of.....who knows about tonight though - it sure feels like nap time about now. But I figure if I keep doing one thing at a time...we'll get there. Tonight I need to organize my book shelves, clean up the kitchen, and figure out a good way to position the coffee table...hmmmm
I'll post some before and after pictures from the house projects tonight. Should be fun to see the change! =)

how can it be...
I'm completely amazed at this strange situation I am in. One day...I will be able to explain. For now...I'll just add labels so when it all makes sense you can read everything together...that sounds like a good plan.
As of today...I am furious. I have done everything and they still refuse to work with me/us. I can't even warn others yet because I want my own situation to be resolved first....then everyone will know what not to do. Mom called the lawyer today to have some advice and about what to do to solve this whole deal. Dad says not to worry that we will get it all fixed soon enough - and everyone I know will be MUCH happier! By the way - no, Landon and I are not getting a divorce or something, no worries there. I was rereading what I wrote and worried that someone would think that - no. not that. If you are really curious, I'll let you know - just not via the internet or something like that.
I hate when businesses have TERRIBLE customer service and lie to you and try to manipulate you. I feel fooled - and yet I know it is not my fault. I worry it was something I did, but I know that is not true...I have it documented that I'm okay and have done the right thing. I'm angry because I can't fix this on my own. And you know what...it honestly just gets worse. I thought it would get better - but it is just taking everything out of me before it gets there. The good thing is I do know how to handle this situation and I have a wonderful group of people who are supporting me and in it with me.
I figured out a way to do it...It has to do with the event in our lives on June sixteenth and the documentation in a visual form. Let's just say....this is ridiculous!

Update.....WHAT?
No you are not on the wrong blog. No this is not a hacker.
I really am writing something. I always just forget to write or put it off or something. So today, I'm writing something. Maybe it will be more regular....somehow I don't think it will be too regular. =)
So let's see where we are now.
I passed my senior comprehensive exams - that was a relief.
Landon and I did get married June 16th - the wedding was beautiful and perfect
I work in Indy at Deflecto in Human Resources - it's fine until I decide I miss history
Landon works at Studio 22 and Burris - Thanks Patti!
We live in Daleville with the 2 dogs
I kind of want to go to law school so I know how to deal with jerk people - I am currently gaining experience and think it might be a good thing...who knows.
This weekend is Mom's Birthday and we are having a slumber party.
Landon and I are going to Chicago with his family on Saturday/Sunday.
My house is a mess and needs the Clean Sweep people to fix it.
I have a lot of goals and I am working on being paitent to get them all finished.
Landon is much happier since working full time and not being as stressed - I like that.
We love King of Queens.
Tony moved to Chicago and we miss him.
I miss Taylor and being in that enviroment - good people are there.
I'm committed to staying close with those that mean a lot to me.
I like Noble Romans pizza, 5 breadsticks and a big Mt. Dew - YUM
I want to go to grad school.....I just can't decide on what.
I love Real Simple magazine - Landon is just confused by that.
Landon encourages me to work out and is very supportive. Don't tell, but I like working out.
Our house is coming along - I'll post some before and after pictures sometime....
Anything else? Not that I can think of right now....or that I'm allowed to say yet. Soon enough tho. soon enough.
